1 / 1

  • Khaila Batts, a visual artist based in New York, specializes in painting and mixed media. With an M.F.A. from The City College of New York, Khaila's work delves into the fluid nature of perception, blending digital collage and traditional painting techniques. Her art explores themes of human connection, environmental consciousness, and the transformative power of color. Through engaging viewers in visual dialogue, Khaila's practice challenges conventional representations, prompting reflection on contemporary societal issues.

  • Tiffany Smith, an Interdisciplinary Artist from the Caribbean diaspora, navigates between photography, video, installation, and design to redefine spaces and experiences. Her work examines the roles of visitor and native, parsing the definition of home. Using cultural signifiers like plant matter, design elements, pattern, and costume, Tiffany creates constructed environments that reflect histories of representation, diasporic identity, and liminality. Through photographic portraits, site-responsive installations, and user-engaged experiences, she invites viewers to explore the complexities of belonging and displacement.

  • Florian Koenigsberger’s Photographer and technologist Florian Koenigsberger is dedicated to advancing representational justice for historically underserved communities. At Google, he spearheads the Image Equity Initiative, combating historical racial bias by developing camera and imagery products that work more equitably for people of color, especially those with darker skin tones. Through his photographic work, Florian explores themes of belonging and identity, using the image as a metaphorical vehicle for self-determination and dignity.
